RC How To:

GPV-1 Complete Steering Upgrade - 4

(Alloy Triple Clamps, Bearings, and Steering Stem)

The next step is a 3 parter. The first is the alloy triple clamps (0300). These are the clamps that attach to the steering stem (0329) and hold the forks in place. Not only do the clamps add bling, they also add strength giving you more precise steering control.

The screws are actually smaller than the stock ones. They are tiny 0.05" and Venom includes a small driver for them if you don't have one that small. Make sure not to tighten them too much as they can strip easily or you could crush your forks.

The stock ones weigh in at 0.275oz and the alloy ones weigh 0.465oz.

The bearings were a must. Usually one of the first upgrades I ever do. It seemed crazy to be upgrading all of the other steering parts and keep the bushings, so I replaced them all with sealed bearings (0339).

The steering stem (0329) holds it all together.
